Sleepover with Grandma Kacky!

Laken and Grandma had an unexpected sleep over last night.  (Those are the best kind!)  We first stopped at Travi’s to say “hi” to Makena and Korbyn.  Laken knows just where their house is on 700 south and always likes to stop to play.
Then home to Grandpa and the trains.  Laken always likes to go straight to the trains and get them going first thing!

A little wobbly, but a pretty decent tower!  He can hardly wait to build them so he can knock them over and see the blockes scatter!
Dinner was meatball sandwiches and smores.  (We're not saying which we had first, but let us just say that Laken had to have Chocolate wiped from his hands and mouth BEFORE he ate dinner.)  We made them in the microwave and they melted the chocolate and marshmellows so well, that now Dad is wondering how we can have a microwave out by the backyard fire pit!???

He wanted to explore Grandma’s “Treasure Cabinet”.   He had to look at each one of the missionary houses from El Salvador and I had to explain who each one of the figurines represented.  He loved touching the sparkly amethyst rock from Trav, shake the maracas,  try on Grandpa Seare’s baseball glove and most fun of all – shake the organ bells.  (Those were actually my favorite as a child and were my first pick as we divided up Grandma’s stuff!)

Bath time is always fun  - especially when you have a monster truck to bathe with!

Grandma even found jammies that fit!

In the morning, Laken came and found me putting the primer on the basement ceiling.  And of course, he had to help!

He did have the help of the monster truck too!

Chasing bubbles all over the house.  When I told him "OK Lakie, one more!"  He said no Gramma - and then he counted on his fingers and said "10 more!"  (And of course I caved and did it.)

One too many "poppin a wheewie" had the big wheel broken.   The expression on his face was pretty funny though when he jerked on the handlebars to pop a wheelie and they came right offf the bike!
Nothing Grandpa can't fix though - and Laken is on his way again.

Every little while -  back to the trains. He helped me take down the Christmas things and said "Don't put Grandpa's trains away - I love them!"   So you guessed it, the Trains will probably stay up for who knows how long!

And the best sleepovers are when you can stay in your jammies until noon...or 1...or 2!
