The mean geese and ducks were waiting to meet us as we pulled up. They started to follow us as we set off around the pond, but the boys on the bikes were just too fast for them.
Helmets on and all ready to go!
Since they were much faster than Jaime, Sawyer and I, they would go a little way and then turn back and come racing back to us. They both liked to “screech” their tires as they came to a stop right in front of us!
Laken was trying to show Riley how to "pop a wheeley". Riley tried it - but liked to stop the bike completely before he jerked the handlebars up.

The swing was a good resting spot, but Riley didn’t like it to swing.
It is a good place for a picture too!
Once around the pond and it was time to stop at the playground. Riley liked to swing this way, but we couldn’t convince Laken that it was fun. He likes to sit in the swing and be pushed “really really high Gramma”!
Now that Soibean is a "walker", she liked walking around the woodchips.
She loves being outside wieth the big kids!
And then it is back on the bikes!
Any time they found snow on the path, they would make sure to take their bikes through it.
And if there was enough snow, the boys would jump off their bikes and stop to play in it.
Laken would yell “snowball fight” and they would start throwing snowballs. Luckily we convinced them that you only through snowballs at “things” not people. (The snow was pretty icy since it was a week old!)
Then back on the bikes for another lap around the pond. The smiles say it all.
And then another stop at the playground because Sawyer wants to go down the slide!
Two cousins ready to slide
Or follow each other through the playground.
On the last lap, Riley decided to be brave and chase the 'mean geese' off of the path.
And let them know to go back to the pond.
The sun was going behind the clouds, so it's back to Laken's house to play with his toys. What a fun afternoon together for cousins who don't get to see each other very often. I think if they lived closer, they would be very good buddies.
You are really crankin' these posts out! I love it! I can't wait for the next adventure you will tell a story about. What a great Grandma! :)
